32nd international civil engineering fair started in Belgrade, participation confirmed by over 1,000 exhibitors
On the 3rd of May 2006, at the Belgrade Fair, the 32nd international civil engineering fair started. This Fair will gather over 1,000 exhibitors from SCG and about 30 more from foreign countries.
The Fair that will last until May 7 was opened by Serbian Minister of Capital Investments Velimir Ilić. According to earlier announcements, exhibit will take place in 7 halls and 4 galleries, i.e. on about 55,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space.
Ilić said the big number of foreign exhibitors was the best proof of Serbia's openness and the interest of foreign companies to come and build in Serbia, some of which have already taken part in the tenders in field of road economy. He announced that "Prokop" project would be continued in one month, which would be followed by construction of the Sava amphitheater and bypass around Belgrade. Also, "Habitat" programme, which is carried out in cooperation with UN in 7 cities of Serbia, will be broadened.
Ilić announced that 350-400 million EUR of total of 1 billion EUR earned from the privatization would be invested in the civil engineering, because it was the initiator of country's development.
The price of tickets for the Fair is 300 CSD, whereas the groups are to pay 200 CSD per ticket. The news is that one can buy the ticket for all days of the Fair for 500 CSD.
