New opportunities for internationalization of Serbian startups – STP Belgrade and Samuel Institute from Canada sign Memorandum of Understanding
During the official visit to Canada, headed by the minister of science, technological development and innovations of Serbia, Dr Jelena Begovic, the memorandum was signed by the director of the STP Belgrade, Gordana Danilovic Grkovic, and the president and CEO of the Samuel Institute, Goran Samuel Pesic.
– The aim of this memorandum is for our startups, which are preparing for the world market, and above all the market of North America, to get the knowledge, skills and education about how to approach one such powerful market which is very competitive. The institute will provide them with precisely that knowledge that is missing – said minister Jelena Begovic.
– We are signing this memorandum because we believe that the future of technology and innovations is in partnership, and Serbia is excellent in information technologies, biotechnology and artificial intelligence – said Goran Samuel Pesic, the president and CEO of the Samuel Institute, who added that their experience would be important for those looking to learn what the startups coming from Europe need in order to succeed in the market of North America – This could be a powerful partnership – he concluded.
The signing of the memorandum also opens the possibilities for designing joint specialized training sessions for the development of business skills, with a special focus on marketing and sales, which will provide additional support to innovative tech companies in Serbia when it comes to product commercialization and international expansion.
The memorandum is also an important step for the Serbian innovation community, and the joint initiatives are expected to have a long-term impact on the development of the high-tech sector in Serbia, the press release says.
