Belgrade hosts first investment forum on Serbia's tourism - November 24-26

The first investment forum on Serbia's tourism will be held in Belgrade, between November 24 and 26, and it will be organized by the National Tourism Development Corporation and the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development.

This three-day conference will be dedicated to the investment opportunities in emerging tourism markets. The main topic will be the exploration and communication of possible investments in Serbia's tourism and the creation of new connections in the region of south and east Europe, as well as connections in the fields of investment and development. The main goal is to attract investment in tourism and underline the attractiveness and competitiveness of tourist destinations in Serbia.

The program of the forum Sustainable Tourism for Rural Development has been implemented by five EU agencies: FAO, UNDP, UNEP, UNICEF, and the World Tourism Organization - UNWTO.

The National Tourism Development Corporation will also use this opportunity to present some key investment projects in the fields of tourism and hotel management in Serbia.

The visitors of the forum will be able to hear interviews with the world's leading investors, forecasts of the world's leading economists, panel discussions on development, global trends and the best practice in tourism and hotel management. On that occasion, delegates will illustrate new instructions, trends, strategies and possibilities of investing in the tourism sector in Serbia.

- The investment forum will serve as a platform for establishing a network of key players in the development of tourist projects, which is a precondition for successful development of tourism. The forum will see the presentation of over 250 projects in the field of tourism, which will enable a greater exposure of local projects to the international investment market and convey a clear message that Serbia has strong prospects for tourism development. Many preconditions for the development of tourism have already been met, and now is the time to develop good projects. The forum will make it possible for local players to find strong partners in the international market - said Rafael Pupovac, director of the National Tourism Development Corporation.
