Decree on Defining Rail Transport Priorities adopted – Aiming to prevent disturbances in market of supply of energy and other goods of vital importance

At its latest session, the Government of Serbia adopted the Decree on the Temporary Measure of Defining Rail Transport Priorities on Serbia’s Railroad Network. The decree, as specified, regulates the temporary measure of defining the priorities of transport in the rail traffic to the end of preventing disturbances in the market of the supply of goods – energy and other goods of vital importance for the performance of activities of the business entities in the Republic of Serbia.

The temporary measure pertains to the transport carried out by the company Srbija Kargo for business entities relative to other transports carried out on the network of railroads in Serbia, including passenger rail traffic.

As can be seen from the decree, it pertains to the transport of coal, mazut, oil and oil products, iron ore, coke ore, copper ore and concentrate, finished products made of iron, copper and steel, acids, as well as container transport of consumer goods.

The decree encompasses 26 sections for the transport of those goods.
