Foundation stone laid down for construction of new facility for members of “Cobras”

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, in the presence of the minister of defense, Bratislav Gasic, has laid down the foundation stone for the construction of a new facility for the accommodation and training of the members of the Special-Purpose Military Police Squad “Cobras” at the “Vasa Carapic” barracks, announced the Government of Serbia.

The president expressed his conviction that the 15,000 square meters of the space to be built would satisfy the needs of the members of this squad and contribute to developing their capabilities and battle-readiness.

On that occasion, Vucic pointed out that said elite squad would get a new home with the best conditions and emphasized that they deserved it, being brave, responsible and indisputably loyal to their homeland.

He said that the facility would feature everything necessary for the optimal functioning of the unit, as well as a specialized space for physical and tactical training, but also capacities for accommodation and recreation.
