Public discussion about amendments to Law on Energy begins

The Ministry of Mining and Energy has announced the beginning of the public discussion about the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Energy. The presentation of the law is expected to take place in early September in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and the public discussion lasts until September 10, until which time those interested may send their suggestions and complaints.

The presentation and consultations will be held in Belgrade at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia on September 2, from 10 AM until 12.30 PM, and in Novi Sad at the Regional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad on September 3, from 10 AM until 12.30 PM.

Those interested may submit their suggestions and complaints to the Draft Law by mail at the address of the ministry, at 22-26 Nemanjina Street, with the note “Public discussion about the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Energy” or by e-mail at energetika@mre.gov.rs.

As announced earlier by the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, the amendments should enable the harmonization of the regulations with the new EU energy package and facilitate the operations of energy companies.
