Public call for expressions of interest for renting space in the BIO4 campus is open

The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation has published a Public Call for expressions of interest for renting space in the BIO4 campus. The subject of the public call is to collect letters of interest from domestic and foreign legal entities to rent office and laboratory space in the BIO4 campus. The letter should contain a specification of the required space size and possible specifics, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced.

Letters of interest are submitted electronically to the address office@bio.rs, and for more information about the Public Call, visit the official page of the BIO4 campus.

BIO4 Campus, as a research and development center, will bring together key actors in the fields of biomedicine, biotechnology, bioengineering, artificial intelligence, environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. The BIO4 campus will include scientific institutes, faculties, BIO4 startups, centers of exceptional scientific and research infrastructure, student and research accommodation, a congress and multimedia center, as well as space for large pharmaceutical, biomedical and biotechnology companies.

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Biology of the University of Belgrade will be housed entirely in the BIO4 Campus, while the Faculty of Agriculture, Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, Medicine and the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of this university will have their relevant organizational parts in the BIO4 Campus.

The scientific institutes that will be entirely located in the BIO4 Campus are the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, the Institute for Medical Research, the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, the Institute for the Application of Nuclear Energy and the Institute for Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, while the Institute for Artificial Intelligence will , the Institute for Biological Research "Sinisa Stankovic", the Institute "Biosens" and the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases "Dedinje" have their own relevant organizational parts, the press release of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce points out.

More than 1,500 researchers are expected to work at the BIO4 campus, including more than 1,000 Ph.D. More than 4,000 students will study in the campus.

BIO4 Campus will also contain centers of exceptional scientific and research infrastructure (core facilities) with state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories that will be at the disposal of scientific institutes and faculties, as well as startups and companies that will be tenants of BIO4 Campus, namely:

Internationally accredited center for experimental animals (vivarium)

BSL3 laboratory

Center for Microscopy and Imaging

Protein Center

Center for Instrumental Analytics

Cytometry Center

Biokinetic sports laboratory

In addition to the above, the BIO4 campus will also contain more than 300 laboratories that will be available to tenants and partners of the campus.
