The company Agrokor has opened a purchase and distribution center in Strumica, which will be purchasing and distributing over 60,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables per year. This facility is equipped with up-to-date measuring instruments, cooling chambers, calibrators, parking lots and transport system.

This latest investment by Agrokor spans 13,000 square meters and currently employs over 250 workers. The goods from that complex will be dispatched mainly to the countries of the EU and former Russian federation. The first products from this purchase and distribution center are expected to reach their consumers as early as in the first half of October. Ivica Todoric, president of Agrokor, has opened this purchase and distribution center and expressed gratitude to the Macedonian authorities for the "full support to the entire process."

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski stressed that the Republic of Macedonia lacked such capacities and that the construction of new and the modernization of existing ones had been and remained the top priorities of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
