City owes RSD 400 million to MobiLitas consortium, which operates 52 lines
– Yes, the information is correct. For several months now, the City of Belgrade is late with settling the financial obligations toward us and it currently owes us more than RSD 400 million. The problem is that our daily investments are big, so every delay causes problems with the functioning – emphasizes Tosic.
An additional problem when it comes to providing the public transport service at the moment, Tosic points out, is that the streets are in the worst condition they’ve ever been in.
– There’s damage and malfunctions on vehicles on the lines every day. It is especially pronounced in the summer months when the vehicles are additionally burdened by the air-conditioning devices being switched on and when there is a lower number of vehicles on the streets, which thereby makes them overloaded by passengers more frequently – says Tosic.
