Luxembourg- based company OCSiAl to open facility for production of graphene nanotubes in Stara Pazova in October

The company OCSiAl is planning to open a facility for the production of graphene nanotubes in Stara Pazova in October, announced the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

– They’re doing the first investment, graphene nanotubes in Pazova. It’s not a big investment, but it is very important. In October, the works are expected to begin. That’s very good news for Serbia – said Vucic.

As he said, this investment will be important because of electric cars.

OCSiAl, the biggest world producer of graphene nanotubes, announced in December 2022 that it would open a center for the production of that material, which improves the performances of lithium-ion batteries, in Stara Pazova.

As eKapija has already written, the future complex on a parcel of 39,668 m2 will be located in the east production-industrial zone in Stara Pazova, at 68 Banovacka Street.

The project entails four phases of construction of the production complex, which will be repurposed from a warehouse of the previous factory for the production of confectionery.

As the company announced, the facility for the synthesis of tubes in Stara Pazova will be the core of the industrial center of graphene nanotubes and employe 200 people.

In addition to electric car batteries, nanotubes can be used in the production of asphalt, tires, fire equipment…
