A new five-star hotel, of which construction is underway in Vrdnik, is conceived as a tourist and recreational complex and it will comprise 60 two-bed rooms and 60 luxury suites, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with geothermal water, restaurants, coffee shops, sauna, hydro-massage, gyms, 24-hour medical center, conference rooms, and all other accompanying contents. The works are planned to be finished in June 2012.

The new hotel is being built by Novi Sad-based Aqua Promont, which will invest about EUR 7 million in the construction of this eight-floor complex, with two floors built under the ground. The hotel is situated across the road from Termal Special Rehabilitation Clinic and it will span 8,500 square meters. It is most likely that the hotel will be finished on schedule, before the beginning of the tourist season in Vrdnik.

- The works are going as planned. The summer was hot, but we were working non-stop. There is no reason for this exclusive complex not to be completed on time - says Dragutin Delic, construction manager at Novi Sad-based Best Izgradnja, the contractor for the works in Vrdnik.

Aqua Promont has decided to build a super-luxury hotel in Vrdnik in order to provide this spa resort with top conditions for spa treatment, recreation and resting because existing Termal cannot satisfy the needs of guests looking for high comfort.

- We wanted to raise the tourist offer of Vrdnik to a higher level and to offer guests, especially foreign ones, a real relaxation, recreation and recovery. Aqua Promont's project will make sure that the potentials of Vrdnik spa are used in the best possible way.

Once the new modern hotel is built, Vrdnik spa will be included in the offers of foreign tour-operators, which have so far not been able to offer the services of this spa resort because it did not have adequate accommodation and other facilities.

Jobs for 32 people

The new hotel will employ 32 people in the first phase, which means a lot to the municipality of Irig. I am sure that Aqua Promont hotel will represent a real engine of tourism development on this territory - says Vladimir Petrovic, mayor of Irig.
