Carnex starts construction of wastewater treatment plant worth over EUR 2 million
The company Carnex has finally obtained a building permit, the last document required for the commencement of works on the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, issued by the Town Planning Department of the municipality of Vrbas. These construction works are expected to start in next few days since all necessary preparation works were carried out during the summer.
- For over five years Carnex has been intensively working on a solution to reduce the negative influence of the everyday production process to a minimum, and even eliminate it completely later. As part of its investment plan, the company has already earmarked EUR 3.5 million for environmental issues, and the construction of this plant is one of priorities in that investment plan. The value of the project design and construction works exceeds EUR 2 million. The deadline for the completion of works will depend on their execution rate, and this significant job will be entrusted to construction companies from Serbia - reads the company's release.
By building this plant, Carnex will contribute to preservation of Big Backa Canal and resolve the problem that the local community and that company have been facing over the last few decades.
With this project, Carnex continues to implement significant investments in the field of ecology this year, just like it did last year at a pig farm in Vrbas. This year, separators that separate liquid from solid manure will also be installed at the remaining two Carnex farms. In this way, solid manure is separated to be used in fertilization of agricultural land.
