City commissions preparation of two projects of public-private partnership in renewing public bus transport in Belgrade – Are the stretches 300 and 400 and suburban lines next?
According to the documentation, the necessary data for the preparation of the project, containing the necessary traffic-technical elements (the data on the statical and dynamic elements of the line and the data on the planned scope of the transport), will be submitted to the selected bidder.
– The projects should be prepared in line with the Resolution A/RES/70/1 – Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to the end of achieving the goals of sustainable development until 2030 and in line with the UNECE PPP and Infrastructure Evaluation and Rating System (PIERS) – the documentation says.
The documentation does not specify which stretches this public procurement procedure pertains to, but according to unofficial information, these are the stretches 300 and 400 and suburban lines.
Bids may be submitted by May 7.
More details (in Serbian) can be found HERE.
Let us remind that, recently, the city reached the decision to waive the stretches 100 and 700 to private transporters. The decision envisages for a total of 31 existing lines to be waived to the future private partner of the city in this job – the 27 lines currently held by GSP Beograd and the four lines on which passenger transport is done by the Mobilitas consortium (formerly Arriva). In addition to that, the introduction of several new lines is planned, so the future partner of the capital city would serve passengers on over 35 lines.
