The global transport and logistics industry continues to struggle with numerous challenges, from breaks in supply chains, through cyber security threats, to the increasingly strict ecological regulations and a lack of workforce, which has been current for years now.

However, where there are problems, there are also solutions. Companies seek and find ways to automate, optimize and improve the overall logistics and thereby reduce the costs and increase the efficiency and productivity. They have found an ally in this process in new technologies, software, artificial intelligence, which automate the systems of preparing the orders, develop sorting solutions and choose the optimal transport routes. At the same time, they respond to today’s imperative, expressed as “green logistics”, which requires companies to reduce their environmental impact.

The region is not giving up either. New logistics and distribution centers are being built, often of the kind that covers several countries of the region. The Western Balkans thereby becomes a place with a serious potential for the development of the industry that serves as the driving engine of the economy.

All this will be discussed in the new special edition newsletter of eKapija, which will offer solutions to overcoming daily challenges together with the leading companies in this field.
