City approves signing of agreement with Ministry of Economy and BAS on continuation of financing of project of new bus station – EUR 20 million over two years

At the latest session, as confirmed for eKapija, the Temporary Organ of the City of Belgrade gave approval to the Secretariat for Utility and Housing Affairs and the Directorate of Building Land for the signing of the agreement with the Ministry of Economy and the company BAS on the regulation of the mutual relations regarding the securing of the financial funds for the final realization of the project of the new bus station in Block 42, pertaining to the settling of the costs which arise within the second phase of this station’s complex (author’s comment: the construction of the station building).

– To the end of the realization of the bus station complex according to the current planning document (amendments to the DRP of the complex of the bus and rail station in Block 42), it has been decided to also include the City of Belgrade in the realization of the works on the completion of the project, which requires the redefining of the mutual rights and the obligations of the parties to the agreement, that is, the taking on of new obligations and the acquisition of new rights by the City of Belgrade, which will be the subject of the new annex to the agreement – the conclusion says.

As specified, since the works which pertain to the second phase of the bus station complex have been realized, it is necessary to continue carrying out further works which are encompassed by that phase. That entails precisely the construction of the station building itself and the construction of the console canopy “A”, which, as said, is necessary for the functioning of the station platform.

– For the realization of this part of the project, financial funds in the total amount of RSD 2.4 billion are estimated, which are planned in the positions of the Ministry of Economy. For the execution of the works in 2024, funds of RSD 1.2 billion are planned, and as much is planned for 2025. In order to create the conditions for the transfer of the secured financial funds, the draft agreement has been prepared, which has been harmonized by the Ministry of Economy, the Directorate of Building Land, the company Beogradska autobuska stanica (BAS), the Secretariat for Finance and the Secretariat for Utility and Housing Affairs – the conclusion points out.
