Belgian Company Somnis Bedding Buys 30 Hectares in New Industrial Zone of Novi Becej – Factory for Production of Mattresses to Be Built, Investment Worth EUR 10 Million

The Belgian company Somnis Bedding, through its Serbian company, has become the owner of 30 hectares of land in the new industrial zone Izlaz in Novi Becej, whose construction started recently on Kumanacki Put Street. According to the local media, the plan is to build a factory for the production of mattresses and other bed products.

According to the director of the company Belirija, Cedric De Mol, the company should soon start working, and as soon as the construction of the industrial zone gathers speed, the construction of the new factory which will produce mattresses and other bed products in Novi Becej will begin.

– We have already commenced works on the existing facilities, so as the be able to start our operations as soon as possible, and in that sense, also, we are looking for candidates from the fields of accounting and IT, because, considering the construction of the new factory, we don’t only want to have a production facility, but also a capable base. Therefore, we need workers from said areas, so, from the IT industry, graphic designers, people with experience in sales and marketing. We are looking for people with developed skills, but we also want to work with people in the local community and we are really looking forward to the beginning of our operations – De Mol pointed out, as reported by the Vojvodjanski.com portal.

As announced earlier by the provincial secretary for regional development, interregional cooperation and local self-government, Aleksandar Sofic, the company Somnis Bedding, which produces mattresses, will invest over EUR 10 million, and in the first phase alone, 120 workers are expected to be employed.
