The U.S. company Red Heart, a sister company of the Kragujevac company Srce, has signed an agreement with the Arabian firm Laroche Campbells International from Bahrain on the opening of a chain of Srce coffee and pastry shops in eight Arabian countries.

Vladislav Avramovic, owner of Srce, told FoNet that coffee and pastry shops would be opened in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Morocco, and Algeria.

- The first Srce coffee and pastry shop will be opened on November 1st in Bahrain, while the next one will be opened in Saudi Arabia by the year's end - said Avramovic.

According to the agreement, the Arabian partner has an obligation to open at least one Srce coffee and pastry shop in each of these countries.

In addition to coffee and pastry shops, each of these eight Arabian countries will also get a workshop, which will be using Srce's original recipes to make ice creams, cakes, hot chocolate and other products from the portfolio of the Kragujevac-based company.

The Arabian partner is going to invest about EUR 1 million in the first two coffee and pastry shops and workshops in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Srce is also close to end negotiations with the U.S. partner on the opening of the first coffee and pastry shop in North America, in Toronto.
