Construction of Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad starts on 22 July 2011 - Investment worth €21.3 million

Commencement of works on the construction of the Science and Technology Park of the Novi Sad University, an investment worth about EUR 21.3 million, will be ceremoniously marked today at the building site within the university campus, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture and Media announced.

The foundation stone will be laid by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, Minister of Education and Science Zarko Obradovic, Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic, and Rector of the Novi Sad University (UNS) Miroslav Veskovic.

As it was announced, Provincial Secretary for Science and Technological Development Dragoslav Petrovic and Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTN) Ilija Cosic will symbolically mark the beginning of works on the construction of the complex of Science and Technology Park by revealing a plaque.

That project will be implemented on the basis of appropriate protocols and agreements signed earlier between the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, the Capital Investment Fund of Vojvodina, the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development, UNS, FTN, and Belgrade-based JUP Istrazivanje i Razvoj.

The complex of Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad will span a total of 22,650 square meters.
