WAZ media group completes sale of Stampa Sistem to Centroproizvod

WAZ media group has completed the sale of the kiosk chain Stampa Sistem to the Serbian food manufacturer Centroproizvod. Representatives of WAZ and Centroproizvod today finished the process of sale of the 100-percent stake in Stampa Sistem. In accordance with an agreement reached between the contractual parties, the purchase price will remain a business secret.

Peter Lange, member of the management of WAZ media group and its representative for Serbia, says:

- By concluding the sale, which was successfully done today, we are one step closer to the goal to withdraw from Serbia. Stampa Sistem will have a good future as part of the renowned company Centroproizvod.

Since it took over Stampa Sistem in 2008, WAZ media group has made it the leading kiosk chain in Serbia. In early February 2011, WAZ and Centroproizvod agreed on the sale of Stampa Sistem. The chain comprises over 500 classical kiosks, as well as 50 Convenience-Stores, mainly situated on the territory of Belgrade and in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

About 1,800 workers at Stampa daily serve over 160,000 customers.
