A wish the citizens of Stara Pazova have had for decades will finally be fulfilled in August when the first swimming pools will be opened within the sports and recreation complex situated in the area between Nova Pazova and Stara Pazova. This water sports center, which will comprise 7 swimming pools with accompanying contents, will be intended for both recreational and professional athletes.
The Directorate for Development of Stara Pazova yesterday signed an agreement on the construction of the first phase of a RSD 275,000 complex with the consortium made of Jedinstvo Sevojno, Projektomontaza Belgrade, and SMB Gradnja Subotica.
As people at the Directorate told eKapija, the first phase will include the construction of three outdoor swimming pools for children, spanning a total of about 600 square meters, and two outdoor swimming pools for adults, which will span about 700 square meters.
The complex on a 2.5-hectare lot will also include a 750-square-meter facility comprising a ticket shop with an info stand, a hall, a cafe bar, locker rooms, showers, toilets, lockers and toilets for staff, a clinic, auxiliary rooms, etc.
In accordance with the world's latest standards, the future phases will include the construction of an Olympic pool and an indoor swimming pool.
The author of the look of the sports and recreation complex is a consortium comprising the following companies: IM Projekt Belgrade, Aqua Arts-Akvamarin Belgrade, Geomehanika Belgrade, and Tera Nova studio Stara Pazova.
The project investor is the Capital Investment Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Directorate for Development of Stara Pazova.
Construction of bicycle trails is also in the pipeline, which will make it easier for people living in nearby places to come to this sports complex.
