State Budget Deficit at the End of April Lower Than Expected, Government Debt Lower Than in March

The deficit of the budget of the Republic of Serbia from January until the end of April this year amounted to RSD 34 billion, which is 55.7 billion more than the budget plan, because previously, a deficit of RSD 89.7 billion was expected, the Ministry of Finance announced today.

In April, budget revenues amounted to RSD 562.4 billion, and budget expenditures amounted to RSD 596.4 billion.

The government debt at the end of April this year amounted to around EUR 34.94 billion, which is 50.6% of the GDP, the ministry announced.


At the end of March, the government debt was EUR 35.25 billion, that is, 51% of the GDP. The government debt of Serbia at the end of 2022 was EUR 33.33 billion, or 55.1% of the GDP.
