Amazon Representatives Visiting Serbia
At the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation were discussed; the most important projects of Serbia in the field of digitalization were presented, as well as plans for expanding infrastructure and strengthening human resource capacities in the IT sector.
– At the meeting, in addition to presenting the most significant projects of the Office and the investment climate in Serbia, we discussed with representatives of Amazon the strengthening of mutual cooperation in various fields. I am glad that the mutual desire for the maintenance of cooperation in the field of technological innovation and increasing human resource capacities in the IT sector has been highlighted – said Milan Latinović, Acting Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment.
He added that some of the topics of the meeting were focused on the development of technological capabilities, the development of human capacities that are ready to apply cloud technology, the faster adoption of cloud for new businesses and the use of cloud technologies in the state sector mostly through the Open Data Program, as well as through initiating new pilot projects.
– Also, we talked with the delegation about the adoption of regulations for the use of cloud infrastructure - "Cloud first policy" where we would practically use their expertise in this field, since this is the next step for the ICT sector in Serbia – said Latinović.
