Serbian-Korean Information-Access Center in Nis to Open Soon

The most modern equipment and computers, necessary for the operations of this center, have been provided by the Republic of Korea, which also supported the opening of the first SKIP center, located in Belgrade, through a donation.
As planned, the SKIP center – Nis will be officially opened at a ceremony by minister Martinovic and the president of the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea.
The support of the Republic of Korea to the opening of the SKIP center in Nis, established based on the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the City of Nis, has been obtained based on the results realized by Belgrade’s SKIP, which opened slightly over five years ago, and which has been pronounced the best within the world network of information-access centers on three occasions.
Martinovic reminded that over 70,000 citizens had successfully completed free informatics training and programs at the Belgrade SKIP center and expressed his conviction that the citizens of Nis would also use the provided opportunity to a large extent and further improve their knowledge and skills in using modern services that the state had put at their disposal.
The minister emphasized that this was especially important because the center would be available to citizens in that part of Serbia.
