Preparations for the construction of the National Stadium and EXPO Center begin - Tender announced for the documentation for the infrastructure connecting New Belgrade and Surcin

PE Directorate for Building Land and Construction of Belgrade announced a public procurement of technical documentation for the construction of the infrastructure corridor connecting Novi Beograd to Surcin. It is, as stated, the first phase of the implementation of the infrastructure corridor for the needs of equipping the National Stadium and the EXPO Center in Surcin.

The value of the purchase is estimated at RSD 10 million, and it includes the project of the access road to the sewage collection pumping station (KCS-1) with the associated infrastructure, as well as the project of the collection sewage KCS-1. Also, the procurement includes technical documentation for the construction of water supply and fecal sewage in the regulation of the existing road.

For the purpose of access to the new sewage pumping station, a part of the road Nova 4, in length of around 120 m, needs to be constructed. Part of the Nova 4 road retains the route of the existing two-way street Zorana Djindjica Square and represents a connection with the state road of the section Novi Beograd - Surcin.

The planned road Nova 4 contains two lanes separated by a 4.5 m wide dividing strip. The carriageway is 7 m wide and consists of two traffic lanes, each 3.5 m wide. On both sides of the road, a 1 m and 2 m wide edge green belt is planned, then 2 m wide sidewalks on both sides, as well as 1 m wide banks. Also, a one-sided bicycle path with a width of 2.2 m is planned.

Part of the public procurement includes design of a fecal collecting pumping station KCS-1, which would receive wastewater from this area. The amount of waste water that comes to the collection pumping station must be taken from the Masinoprojekt project, which designs the National Stadium, the EXPO Center, the EXPO Housing Area and the Hotel. The collection pumping station should be designed as an overhead type KCS.

As part of the regulation of the existing road in accordance with the actual situation on the ground, from the newly designed access road to the fecal collection station to the existing water supply network in Vojvodjanska street, it is necessary to design a water supply system with an approximate length of about 2,150 m.

The deadline for submitting bids is June 5, 2023.

After a tender procedure, the Ministry of Finance recently awarded the job of project management, professional supervision and management of the construction of the National Football Stadium to a group of bidders consisting of the Construction Directorate of Serbia, Project Bureau Utiber based in Novi Sad and two Hungarian-based companies, Utiber Road Investment Ltd. and VIKÖTI Mérnök Iroda Kft. The value of the tender is RSD 1.65 billion (about 14 million EUR).
