Construction of the Cika Daca stadium in Kragujevac to start? - FC Radnicki is moving for the next season
- Due to the failure to fulfill the conditions for licensing and playing matches of the highest level of football competition in Serbia, the Mozzart Bet Superliga, as well as due to the announced demolition and construction of a completely new stadium in Kragujevac, the Radnicki 1923 Football Club had the obligation to notify the Football Association of Serbia of the stadium where they will play its matches as host for the next season - the club announced.
The Cika Daca stadium, built in 1957 and named after Danilo "Uncle Daca" Stojanovic, should be demolished, and a new one built in its place. It will have about 20,000 seats, and the stands will be covered. Also, the plan includes field illumination, so the matches can be played in the evenings as well.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, recently announced that the construction of the Cika Daca stadium in Kragujevac will begin in May.
- The building permit has been obtained, the project documentation was completed. This will be one of the most important and largest development projects for Sumarice and the entire northern area of Kragujevac - emphasized Vucic.
Allegedly, the new Cika Daca will cost EUR 70 million. It will have a capacity of 20,000 seats, which would make it the third largest stadium in Serbia (behind Crvena Zvezda and Partizan stadiums), and the largest one outside Belgrade.
