As a participant in global supply chains and a logistics partner of leaders in various industries, Nelt actively contributes to the global growth trend in cargo transport by rail by developing a network of its own rail-road container terminals, so-called dry ports.

In addition to the terminal in Belgrade, the company is also planning to open a terminal in Kruševac in the second quarter of this year, which will enable the strengthening of the logistics infrastructure of the region and the territorial expansion of Nelta`s logistics services portfolio.

The new terminal is positioned within the industrial zone, 10 km from the EU Corridor 10, right next to the Dedina railway station and the future Moravian Corridor. The intermodal terminal in Kruševac, with its strategic geographical position and equipped with railway tracks, will provide full logistical support to clients of various industries in the region through a full dry port service: container transshipment, vehicle parking, weighing, customs representation, delivery and shipping of containers.

Previously, with an investment of EUR 2 million in this business segment, Nelt also increased the capacity of the intermodal terminal in Belgrade in 2021.

This terminal is located in the distribution-logistics center in Dobanovci and thanks to its good location, but also efficient processes and technical and technological advantages, it is recognized as the logistics hub of the Western Balkans.
After the expansion, its usable area is 30,000 m², and it is possible to receive and store 1,500 full and 500 empty containers.

Also, by purchasing a second Reach Stecker for container manipulation, the operability and efficiency of operations has been significantly increased.

It is important to note that the terminal in Dobanovci is connected to the ports of Rijeka, Bar and Piraeus by regular railway lines. At the same time, the E-75 and E-70 highways intersect at a distance of 6 km from the terminal, while Nikola Tesla Airport is 10 km away.

Within Nelt`s logistics center, there is also a customs office with a warehouse, which enables full support and flexibility for various processes and commodity flows. In Dobanovci, Nelt boasts warehouses with different temperature regimes on an area of more than 65,000 m2 and delivery fleets with more than 250 vehicles, which makes this terminal an integrator of supply chains in the region.

Currently, cargo compositions from Piraeus, Rijeka and Bar are serviced on a weekly basis, with realistic indications that the list will expand to Thessaloniki and other routes to ports in Western Europe and Turkey. The number of containers at the terminal in 2020 was 13,000, in 2021 it was increased to 18,000, and in 2022 20,000 units were processed.
