The prices of mobile internet between the EU and the Western Balkans will be lower from October 1 this year.

Representatives of the European Commission (EC), the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and mobile operators from the European Union and the Western Balkans agreed for the prices of tariff add-ons and special tariff packages between the EU and the Western Balkans to be lower than the regular tariff packages.

– That means that the citizens of the Western Balkans will be able to use tariff add-ons or special tariff packages trough which mobile internet in roaming will become more affordable, with prices that are significantly below the prices in regular tariff packages – Yettel announced.

Price reduction will be introduced gradually, through several phases, concluding with 2028, with the aim of creating even more affordable tariffs, and the announced price reduction in October is the first phase.

The mobile operators of the Western Balkans region gave the most important contribution to the forming of a single economic zone of that region by fully removing the roaming charges for all kinds of mobile traffic in the territories of the six economies of that region from July 1, 2021.
