Vesic: Ministerial Meeting on Joint Launching of Project of Fast Railroad from Venice and Vienna to Belgrade Soon to Be Held

At a gathering organized at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, Vesic announced that, in the coming years, the state would continue investing in the development of railroads.
He reminded that the Belgrade-Novi Sad railroad had been built, and that the construction of a section to Subotica was in progress and that, once the Hungarian partners finished their part, it would take only two hours and 45 minutes to travel from Belgrade to Budapest, as said on the website of the Government of Serbia.
The minister repeated that a fast railroad from Belgrade to Nis would be built, on which, between the two cities, “instead of six hours, a trip will take only 100 minutes, and it will also continue to Presevo.”
He also said that the railroad section from Nis to Dimitrovgrad was being reconstructed and that 538 kilometers of regional railroads were being reconstructed and electrified.
