Uniwab – The path from one man's vision to leadership in the recycling technologies sector
Like any other day, the company director entered briskly into his office and, full of enthusiasm, uttered the sentence that will mark the new chapter in the company`s development : “Recycling is the future, we are launching a new sector!”
Seeing that this wasn`t just another business idea, but a vision of a man with decades of experience, countless successful projects and machines sold behind him, the next period was characterized by market research, visits to numerous fairs in this field and training. Uniwab pioneered this, for that period insufficiently familiar, recognized and researched field.
The key moment in the development process was how to introduce and explain the concept of recycling and the role of machines and facilities that Uniwab can offer to the market.
Today, 15 years later, Uniwab is the representative of leading global producers of machines and equipment for recycling and environmental protection for the markets in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
The brand`s portfolio includes 10 carefully selected companies thanks to which we are able to offer solutions and technologies for treatment of all types of waste such as communal, electric and electronic, packaging construction, metal, industrial and organic waste.
German company ARJES has a special place in our recycling sector – it manufactures double-shaft mobile and stationary shredders that are unique on the market for their revolutionary quick-change shaft system determined by the type of material being shredded.

This machine facilitates the manipulation of materials from one machine to another in landfills, dump sites, etc.
For years, Uniweb has been collaborating with the Italian company GUIDETTI, the leading manufacturer in the field of machines for recycling and separating copper. GUIDETTI machines and systems are used for recycling cables, coolers, electrical appliances and components. These machines are suitable for both small and large recycling companies, depending on the required capacity.
Practice shows that these machines yield the best output result with the lowest investment required!
Right after one such conversation, we established cooperation with the German company EUROPRESS that produces channel balers in different versions – mobile and stationary, and waste sorting systems. EUROPRESS is distinguished by the fact that their sorting plant are 100% tailored to customers` requirements and offer complete systems based on the turnkey principle.
The latest amphibious machines and aquatic harvesters from the German producer Berky effectively solve the problem of floating waste.
These machines are used for maintaining rivers, lakes, channels, mowing and collecting aquatic plants, collecting and transporting waste and dredging and hole boring.
Uniwab has recognized the need for glass recycling in the market and included in its offer machines for recycling flat and packaging glass, with smaller capacities suitable for squares and shopping centers aiming to reduce glass containers waste as well as industrial machines with the capacity of five tonnes per hour of recycled glass and the output material with fineness of 0.2 mm. These shredders can also recycle windshield glass.
The technology that has become an extremely topical subject and that has been discussed extensively in conferences and panels on circular economy and environmental protection in Serbia concerns incineration plants.
Our partner company from Italy, FORTEC, has over forty years of experience designing, manufacturing, selling and installing high-tech ecologic plants. This company uses sophisticated new industrial ovens and offers incinerators for a variety of waste: medical waste, animal carcasses and organic waste.
Our rich reference list and a long list of satisfied clients and machines sold guarantee our ability to meet even the most demanding projects and tasks that require machinery.
Recycling is one of the most important measures that are currently available to help us reduce harmful effects and conserve the environment. Through recycling, Uniwab wants to contribute to reducing the amount waste sent to dump sites and mitigating the problem of dumping waste and creating illegal landfills with the common end goal of using the recycled material after the recycling is completed.
What is next for the company?
The next move is yours, pose us a challenge, present your ideas and visions for projects you want to carry out and we will try to find you a suitable machine or a system, soon at the upcoming IFAT Eurasia fair taking place at the end of April in Istanbul.
