The goal of sustainable transport is to ensure that our transport system will meet the economic, social and environmental needs of the society, with minimal negative effects on economy, society and the environment. Transport had a vital role in the evolution of mankind. Rise in transport activities increases the pressure on natural resources and the society. Greenhouse gas emissions, air polluters and transport noises affect the climate, environment and people`s health. Apart from that, increased energy consumption in the traffic sector requires higher usage of resources. Moreover, traffic infrastructure fragments landscapes and ecosystems to a great extent. Our aim is to operate in accordance with environmental principles.

Sunce Beton company operates in Serbia since 2019 and manufactures and delivers fresh concrete. Concrete is transported in 20 trucks with capacity of 10 m3 and pumped with 5 truck pumps with booms up to 47 meters. Trucks that transport concrete are fueled with compressed natural gas – methane (CNG), thus considerably reducing harmful effects on the environment. Our rolling stock contains Scania trucks with CSR engines that pollute the environment less, spend less fuel while the engine power remains the same.

One of Sunce Beton postulates is sustainable business with the highest social, ethical and environmental standards. On the other hand, the company built credibility on knowledge, expertise, quality and development of products and services.

Scania trucks contribute to incomparably less fuel consumption and are achieving the biggest reduction of carbon emissions with improved engine technology and decreased air resistance and rolling resistance. This is one of the reasons that Sunce Beton has chosen truck models with these specifications.

Fresh concrete is produced in a complex process, has precisely defined proportions and dosage methods, and it requires skilled personnel in production and transport who will correctly prepare the final mixtures and deliver them to the end-user. At present, the production facility has two batch plants of 250 m3 per hour. In 2022, Sunce Beton delivered 90,000 cubic meters of fresh concrete to 38 construction sites. Per our strategy, we will double the delivery amount in the next period because the market has recognized the quality, punctuality, precision and credibility, which are the most important attributes in the construction sector.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is conducting the inspection of input ingredients and finished concrete so we can achieve a high level of quality. This was the right decision so our partners would be sure what product they are getting, which is a great advantage to the end-user. Sustainable business, efficient trucks with reduced environmental impact and the quality of products is what recommends Sunce Beton as a future partner.
