Tender Published for Procurement of New Software and Equipment for 1,600 Public Transport Vehicles in Belgrade
The subject of the public procurement, according to the tendering documentation, is the implementation of a unified system which consists of: equipment – which is installed in public transport vehicles, sensors – which are placed on the vehicle, the driver’s mobile phone – which the transporter owns and which the drivers are responsible for, communications network – a radio network in the range between 175 MHz and 900 MHz, software with modules for the monitoring and accounting of the transport of the hired transporters – which is installed in the control-operating center of the procuring entity, vehicle – buses, trolleys and trams owned by the transporters hired in the territory of the city of Belgrade.
The procurement entails the installation of the necessary special equipment on public transport vehicles for the collection of information in real time and the monitoring of vehicles. The equipment consists of a communications module, a control module and the aerosol periphery for fire extinguishing and protection of electronic equipment and installations around the place where the equipment is installed in the transporter’s vehicles.
The obligation of the bidder in the initial period of the realization of the agreement is to secure the hardware resources for the installation of the software with modules, in its data center, with the full maintenance of 24/7/365 availability, until the procuring entity secures adequate resources in its location.
The procurement envisages for the equipment and the software solution to be installed in 1,600 public transport vehicles, in several garages and in one control-operating center location.
– The bidder is obliged to carry out the services of the delivery, installation and commissioning of the equipment, as well as the integration of the modules of the software for the monitoring of public transport and the preparations for the billing of the hired transporters, along with the securing of all the required preconditions for the use of the software modules, the securing of physical servers, backup and redundant servers in its data center for the duration of the contract, until the procuring entity secures its own resources, the preparation of guidelines for the use of the modules, training, technical support, maintenance and servicing in the guarantee period, all in line with the requirements from the tendering documentation – it is said.
The deadline period for the completion of the job is 180 days.

Let us remind that the Turkish company Kentkart Global, which has charged and controlled the tickets for the Belgrade public transit company GSP Beograd, has announced that it will initiate a court procedure against the Republic of Serbia as the guarantor of protection of foreign investments due to the decision of the City of Belgrade to terminate the agreement on the public-private partnership with that company 11 years before its expiration.
