Chinese Company Looking for Subcontractors on 2nd Section of Fruska Gora Corridor – Earth Works on Route of 10 Kilometers and Construction of 8 Bridges, Completion by Summer 2025 at the Latest



The subject of the tender are the works on two subsections and the construction of bridges and piles.
The works on the subsection 2.1 (km 25+025 to km 28+800) will encompass earth works, 4 ramps on the interchanges and two road deviations.
These are preparatory and earth works which entail the demolition of the existing asphalt driving lane, the removal of the surface earth layer, the construction of an embankment and the covering layer etc.
According to the tendering documentation, the earth works on this section are expected to begin in June this year, and the completion deadline is 12 months.
Earth works are also to be done on the subsection 2.4 – the main road km 28+800 to km 34+700 and the accommodation road.
The beginning of the works and the completion deadline are the same as for the previous subsection. The subject of the tender is also the construction of 8 bridges on the section (nos. 1-3, 8-10 and 11-12), without piles, and on the bridge no. 11 also without the pre-fabricated carriers.
The tender says that the construction of the bridges 1-3 is expected to begin in October, and the completion deadline period is 10 months. The construction of the bridges 8-10 is expected to begin in June, with a deadline period of 5 months, whereas the construction of the bridges 11-12 will start in July, and the completion is planned within 22 months.
Finally, the last part of the tender pertains to the boring of piles and the works on load-bearing walls on the bridges nos. 8, 9 and 10.
The works on the bridge piles and the load-bearing walls are expected to begin in June, and the completion deadline period is 3 months.
The tender is open for companies and joint companies registered in the Republic of Serbia, and bids may be submitted by April 27.

The construction of the Fruska Gora Corridor, a motorway of 47.7 kilometers on the Novi Sad-Ruma route, began in May 2021.
The road worth EUR 606 million is split into 4 sections, and the second section goes from Paragovo to the beginning of the Ruma bypass route.
The project also includes the construction of the Iriski Venac tunnel on Fruska Gora of around 3.7 kilometers, the longest tunnel in Serbia. The construction of this tunnel is in progress, as are the works on the construction of the bridge across the Danube near Petrovaradin. A total of 46 bridges are planned on the Fruska Gora Corridor route.
The Fruska Gora Corridor will connect Corridor 10 and Corridor 4 and form the shortest link between Bosnia and Romania.
According to the announcements, the Fruska Gora Corridor should be completed by April 2025.
