Bor to Get Aqua Park with 7 Pools – Looking for Designer and Contractor for 1st Construction Phase
The existing features will be kept, along with the reconstruction, and the new aqua park features are planned on 3 ha.
In the first phase, which is the subject of this procurement procedure, the designing, reconstruction and extension of the access area along Zeleni Blvd will be done, along with the demolition of the existing fountain and the construction of a new one, the reconstruction of the ticket booth, the sanitary rooms and the bar with a balcony (capacity expansion), as well as the reconstruction of the existing pools with a beach.
Additional payment spots are planned in the ticket booth area, as is a higher number of changing rooms, and the number of lockers in which the visitors can keep their belongings has also been increased.
The existing pools and the beach area around these pools, according to the tendering documentation, are neglected. The pool with a water slide should get a whole new water slide tower with 5 lanes, whereas the Olympic-size pool is to be adapted to its purpose of the organization of swimming and water polo tournaments.
In the second phase of the construction of the aqua park, the plan is to build a facility with fast food restaurants, a facility for the employees at the complex, a pool with family water slides, kamikaze attractions and a recreation pool, as well as public toilets and showers. In this phase, a massage (vitality) pool and a recreation pool are to be built as well, and in the 3rd phase, the aqua park will also get a pool with waves.
In the 4th phase, the plan is to build a children’s aqua tower pool and splash area, and in the final phase, the existing restaurant is to be reconstructed, entailing the extension of the restaurant balcony with a capacity of around 200 tables, and a children’s playground is to be built.
A promenade with tree lanes bordering it will pass through the aqua park.
The job of the designing and construction of the 1st phase has been estimated at around RSD 529.7 million.
The tender is open until May 8.
The mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milikic, announced last March on Facebook that, in the coming three years, Bor should get an aqua park with 7 pools on around 2.5 ha within the Sports Center Bobana Momcilovic Velickovic. At the time, he also published rendered images showing the look of the future aqua park.
