Expobank Belgrade Gets New Owner

The owner of Adriatic Bank A.D. Podgorica has bought 100% of the shares of Expobank A.D. Beograd, as announced by the law firm which participated in this transaction as the consultant.

Moravcevic Vojnovic and Partners, in cooperation with Schoenherr, advised the owner of Adriatic Bank A.D. Podgorica in the purchase of 100% of the shares of Expobank A.D. Beograd.

– This transaction is a step toward an expansion of the successful operations of Adriatic Bank A.D. Podgorica, which has been recording a continuous growth since the change of ownership in 2020 – the law firm said.

Adriatic Bank A.D. Podgorica is the fifth biggest bank in Montenegro when it comes to the assets and the youngest bank in the Montenegrin market.

In June 2017, Expobank Beograd became the new company name of the former Marfin Bank. Expobank is the first Czech bank which entered the market of Serbia, with the completion of the acquisition of Marfin Bank in March 2017.
