The construction of the new UCC Kragujevac announced for the end of 2024 - Tender for design by April 15

Construction of the new University Clinical Center in Kragujevac should begin at the end of next year, Minister of Health Danica Grujcic said after visiting this medical facility.

As she stated, the tender for the design of the new UCC will be published by April 15, and the project will most likely be extended to include additional buildings within this medical complex.

- We will probably have to extend the design to some other buildings within the complex. As for the Children's Clinic, it will have to be built from scratch. It will be constructed on the current site, because the statics of the existing building are such that it must be demolished. The children's clinic will have everything needed for children up to the age of 16 - Minister Grujicic said.

When it comes to the equipment purchase, the minister stated that in the last six months, around EUR 5 million has been invested in the purchase of equipment for the Kragujevac University Clinical Center.

- What we will urgently acquire in the first procurement, which should be announced during this month, is complete equipment for neonatology, everything that was requested, complete equipment for pathology, because in order to have successful oncology, you must have state-of-the-art pathology. We will also obtain a new microscope and a new ultrasonic aspirator for neurosurgery - said Grujicic.
