PTT Srbija develops PostTIS - New information system soon in 1,500 facilities

Serbia's national postal company Poste Srbije will open a new office tomorrow at 14-18 Katiceva street in Belgrade, in which the new information system PostTIS has been implemented and will be in use. The whole IT solution has been developed by experts from the postal company. A statement issued by the company reads that, thanks to the new application, all processes within the units of postal network have been computerized and several software solutions on the level of the company have been integrated, thus improving the overall operations of Poste Srbije.

- How big challenge this has been for all of us at Poste Srbije is best shown by the fact that we have used our own intelligence, knowledge and experience to successfully finish the big project PostTIS and, thus, enable a complete automation and integration of the following activities: mail reception, processing and delivery, money operations (charging for public utility services, banking operations, payments), electronic notifications (telegrams, electronic and postal money orders, cash express), trading, the activities of the company's Business Service, support to the activities of the company's Call Center, complaining procedure, etc. The company's online operations with juristic persons have also been improved through the development of web applications for the reception of express mail (web express), as well as the online sale of goods (web shop). We take pride in being a rare postal administration that has managed to improve it's own operations by using exclusively it's own resources - reads the statement.

By putting in operation PostTIS in the newly opened post office in Katiceva street, the company will start the implementation of this complex project, which will be implemented in more than 1,500 post offices throughout Serbia in the following period, thus additionally upgrading the capacities of the already existing multiservice network PostNET.
