The company Div Trades from Bačka Palanka will soon commence its production in Milići. The Mayor of Milici, Marko Savic, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Viskovic, handed over the keys to the factory hall in the Podgora Industrial Zone to the owner of the company Div Trades - Birac, Zoran Knezevic.

It is the most important project in the area of this local community, worth 2.2 million KM (1.1 million EUR), which will employ 90 skilled workers, the municipality announced.

Knezevic said that the company Div Trades is in the market since 1998 and is engaged in the production of jumbo bags.

- We mainly export some 70% of production to the EU and Russia. Our main customer in the Republic of Srpska is Alumina, which is the reason why we decided to position ourselves here in order to work for the Bosnia-Herzegovina market as well - said Knezevic.

He stated that this company plans to hire 45 employees in each of the two shifts and to produce 20,000 bags per month.

- We will start transferring the machines next week and we will try to commence production as soon as possible - added Knezevic.
