Right Tube in Laz Tunnel on Section of Milos Veliki Highway from Pakovrace to Pozega Bored Through (VIDEO)

In the Laz tunnel, on the section of the Milos Veliki highway from Pakovrace to Pozega, the right tube has been bored through, the PE Roads of Serbia announced on its official YouTube channel.

The tunnel is designed with two separate tunnel tubes.

The competent minister, Goran Vesic, wrote on his Twitter account back on March 10 that the tube had been bored through.

Let us remind that this section is specific due to the fact that it passes through oppressive geographic terrain that demands construction of numerous bridges and tunnels. Travel time from Cacak to Pozega will be significantly shortened upon construction of this section, from current 45 to 20 minutes.

The motorway section connecting Preljina and Pozega will be of great importance for linking Serbia with the region, since it is a continuation of the motorway Milos Veliki towards the border crossing with Montenegro, but it is also a segment of the future motorway Belgrade-Sarajevo, because there are additional 60 km of the motorway that remain to be built to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
