Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) has opened the tender for the selection of a partner for the construction of the small power plant Srpska Crnja of 2 MW, with a connection to the infrastructure.

According to the technical task, the subject of the tender is the construction of a small power plant of a nominal power of cca 1.9 to 2.5 MWe (with the average delivery of cca 2 MWe).

The tender expires on April 21.

On the NIS website, it is said that the company has put into operation mini power plants with a total power of 14.5 Mwe since 2013 in oil and gas fields in eight locations in Serbia.

As explained, the ecological advantage of the use of these mini-power plants lies in the production of electric and heating energy from gas, which has not been used so far due to the large amounts of carbon-dioxide and nitrogen or it couldn’t be valorized due to the lack of gas infrastructure.
