The Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is commencing talks with Serbian officials about the current standby arrangement tomorrow, on Thursday.

The IMF Mission will be on a visit to Belgrade for two weeks, until April 5, and the first meeting will be with representatives of the National Bank of Serbia.

The topics of the conversations of Serbian officials with IMF representatives will be the state of public finances of Serbia, macroeconomic indicators and structural reforms, primarily of the energy sector.

The standby arrangement of Serbia with the IMF, worth EUR 2.4 billion, was approved in December last year. The IMF loan is meant for mitigating the consequences of the crisis, and a part will serve as a precautionary measure, in case of further economic disturbance.
