Serbia Wins Chinese Acknowledgement “10 Destinations Worth Waiting For” for 2023

The Republic of Serbia has won the acknowledgement “10 Destinations Worth Waiting For” for 2023, awarded by the association National Tourism of China. The award ceremony was held on March 14, 2023, in Beijing, where over 1,000 people, representatives of Chinese tourism, hotel and air industry, representatives of international agencies and destinations, attended this ceremony.

The performances of the tourist destination, the innovations in the market of China and the strength of the brand were rated, and Serbia placed among the top 10. In addition to Serbia, the list features Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada…

Tourism Organization of Serbia extends its welcome

The first post-Covid group of tourists from China arrived to Serbia on Saturday, March 18, only a day after the Chinese national tourism administration announced that tourism agencies from China could organize group travels in Serbia. One of the biggest agencies from China, CYTS, organized the first group for Serbia, on which occasion the Tourism Organization of Serbia organized a reception ceremony and welcomed the tourists at its premises.

Serbia was the first country in Europe to implement a visa-free regime for Chinese citizens, and what makes Serbia even more attractive as a destination are the two direct flights that are currently operated between Serbia and China (to Beijing and Tianjin).
