Touring Uvac canyon, the Ice Cave, Molitva viewpoint and driving quads – Why guests from around the world like “Drveni Raj Uvac”?

Some of the most gorgeous photographs taken are of the view on the meanders of the river Uvac, despite the opinions of many that the true beauty of this part if Serbia cannot be caught on camera.
“Drveni Raj Uvac”, comprised of three accommodation units, is situated in the authentic mountain area of Druzinice village where the famous meanders of Uvac river are located. The wooden houses are rated with four stars and are nine kilometers away from Sjenica,
– The cabins are fully built from pine wood and each has the capacity to house eight occupants, hosts of “Drveni Raj” tell eKapija.
They say that each house has two separate bedrooms, one of which has a beautiful view over the lake.
– Each unit has a fully furnished kitchen with a fridge, dining room, living room with a TV set, a bathroom as well as the covered porch on the front for resting, the hosts add.
They also say that the guests have access to free wi-fi, parking and the indispensable barbecue tools.
– Since we are in the vicinity of the hiking trail which connects the camp on the lake where the boats for cruising the Uvac canyon and the Ice Cave start from, we advise not to pass on such an experience. There is also Molitva viewpoint where visitors can enjoy the view of the meanders and watch the Eurasian griffon vultures that inhabit the Uvac Special Nature Reserve, hosts from“Drveni Raj” point out and add that considering this is a rural environment, the beautiful and harmonious nature will provide for a pleasant experience.
Guests also have access to quads which turn tours through the nature into an adventure. As our hosts tell us, the idea came to them spontaneously.
– The house where are father was born and grew up, where even his grandfather used to live, collapsed after one long Pester winter. The only thing left intact under the ruins was the framed photo of his parents. Our father took that as the sign to come back and live in the place where he was born. He built a new house on the same foundation and since he always gave equally to his children what he made, he decidde to built identical cabins on the same grounds for each of us, the hosts of "Drveni Raj", which opened in 2019, say.
Since all of them currently live in Belgrade, the houses mostly stood empty.
– As rural tourism became more popular with time, we decided to refurbish all three buildings and put them up for rent. And that`s how “Drveni Raj” came to be, they state.
“Drveni Raj Uvac” is open for guests from April to the beginning of November. The houses are comfortable and will satisfy individual guests and families with children alike.
“Drveni Raj Uvac” is known outside Serbia as well, and the visitors from all around the globe come here to enjoy the beauty of Uvac.
