VGP has begun the works on the construction of the industrial park in the Belgrade settlement of Dobanovci, which should be the biggest park in the region, and production and storage space will be rented there. VGP Park Belgrade will spread on an area of 1.14 million square meters, next to the highway and the Belgrade bypass route, in close proximity to the Nikola Tesla Airport.

The foundation stone for the industrial park was laid down by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the CEO of VGP, Jan Van Geet.

Vucic said that VGP had not taken any incentives for the investment in Belgrade, but if it decided to invest in Nis and Leskovac, “the state is ready to give it subsidies”, with the intention to develop the country’s south.

On that occasion, Vucic asked the owners of VGP to consider investing in the south of Serbia “where the investments in infrastructure have been stepped up”.

Jan Van Geet said that the investment in Serbia was a turning point for that company, which supported Belgrade on its road to Europe.

– VGP Park Belgrade will be the biggest one in our group and offer high energy standards – he said.

VGP is a pan-European company which owns, manages and builds real estate in the fields of logistics and semi-industrial production, and it is coming to Serbia for the first time. It provides services to clients who are seeking locations near large European cities, with direct access to the main roads and easy access and 24-hours-a-day operations.

The company operates in 17 European countries, has property in 14 countries (Germany, Czechia, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia and France) and is listed on the Euronext Stock Exchange in Brussels.
