Great Interest in Summer Vacation in Hotels of Budvanska Rivijera at Belgrade Fair – First Bookings Show That the Season Will Exceed 2019

Under the slogan “It smells like the sea… it’s the smell of summer”, Hotel Group Budvanska Rivijera is presenting its offer at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade this year as well, and special discounts are secured for all guests from Serbia.

According to Jelena Kaludjerovic, PR and Marketing Manager of this group, tourism is making a major comeback, and according to the current announcements, the season will be more than excellent and exceed even the record-setting year of 2019 by all parameters.

As she says, during the first two days of the fair, they recorded a great visit, and the interest in spending the summer vacation in hotels of Budvanska Rivijera is great.

– We are very satisfied, and this is precisely the kind of visit we expected. The market of Serbia is very important to us, and guests from here are among the numerous ones in our hotels. There are those who have been coming to Slovenska Plaza for over 30 years and, each year, they come to our stand on the very first day in order to secure a summer vacation for themselves this year as well – Jelena Kaludjerovic says in her interview for eKapija.

Despite the global challenges and events in the world, tourism, she says, is on the rise and in full bloom.

– The first overview of early bookings shows that this season will exceed the expectations and that the numbers that are realized, at least according to the current announcements, will exceed everything that happened in the record-setting year of 2019 – our interviewee adds.

As in the past years, Budvanska Rivijera has also prepared a special offer for guests from Serbia for the duration of the fair.

– That’s our good tradition, that is why we have an individual presentation at the fair, we want to honor our guests from Serbia and invite them personally, talk to them and, of course, offer them truly great conditions. This time, it’s a 15% discount on the current prices which pertain to this year’s season, and which, in line with the inflation, and for the purpose of sustainable business operations of our company, are nevertheless higher compared to last year – Kaludjerovic says and adds that the guests understand why the price increase is necessary.

– That fact confirms what I’ve said before, that tourism is in bloom and that people are ready to set aside more money if necessary, just in order to go on a summer vacation which was not available to them during the coronavirus pandemic, and which is very important to them indeed.

The hotels of Budvanska Rivijera are seasonal in character, however, according to our interviewee, this year, all the facilities will open much earlier than has been the case in the past years.

– We opened Hotel Palas during New Year’s holidays and organized a New Year’s celebration, which is always talked about and which is among the best and most attractive ones in the region. We are very satisfied with the atmosphere in Palas and in our city tavern Mogren, from which the New Year’s celebration in front of the Budva Old Town was followed. The atmosphere in the city during those days was truly beautiful, and Budva regained the old glory it had before corona when it comes to organizing those big events and gatherings – she says.

When it comes to the summer season, it is Hotel Palas that will be the first to open to visitors, on March 10.

– Hotel Aleksandar, which we used to open in late April, will open on March 27 this year, whereas the opening of Hotel Castellastva is expected for April 10, which, again, is much sooner than before. Slovenska Plaza will welcome its first guests on April 25, and we are again commencing the season at this complex by organizing a large gathering of students, the so-called Medicinijada. We know that Slovenska Plaza is the biggest hotel complex in Montenegro, with 1,018 accommodation units, so these organized arrivals are very important to us – says eKapija’s interviewee.

At Budvanska Rivijera, they are carefully following the market and the demand when it comes to holidays. That is why, as Kaludjerovic points out, they are trying to have their prices in that period be competitive.

– We usually create packages adapted to families, the kinds which they can afford. Our guiding idea is always that business and profit are important, but in the end, that added value that you give to the guest is important as well. That is precisely where our competitive advantage lies and that is why our guests keep coming back. Our hotels have 3 and 4 stars, they are not luxury hotels, but that doesn’t mean that this segment doesn’t have its customers. It is precisely during the holidays that the arrangements in our Hotel Palas are sold out in ten days from the date we make the announcement – Kaludjerovic says.

She adds that they will also prepare for the upcoming Easter and May 1 holidays, when they also expect the visit to be excellent, as well as during the main season.
