The investment of the Chinese company Lianbo and the opening of production capacities in Novi Sad, that is, a factory for the production of components for the automotive industry, were the topics of the meeting of representatives of this company and the City of Novi Sad.
Lianbo is one of the leading companies when it comes to the production of top car engines and engines for new energy vehicles and its clients include, among others, Volkswagen and Audi.
Following market research in the EU territory, primarily in Hungary, Poland and Romania, representatives of Lianbo are in the process of making the decision to come to Serbia and to commence business operations in our country, and they have been supported in this by the Embassy of China in Serbia, according to the announcement made by the City of Novi Sad.
Another reason they are interested in Serbia is that their customers already operate in our country, namely, the companies Continental, Nidec and Brose. The aim is for all their customers from the EU to be supplied with the products from the factory which will be located in Serbia, and the value of this investment is around EUR 80 million, it is added.
At the meeting, it was concluded that there was a mutual tendency to continue intensifying the activities related to the arrival of the Chinese company to the Novi Sad, which has the reputation of a city with a remarkably favorable investment climate.
