Elektromreza Srbije (EMS) and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Serbia have notified the public that EMS had filed the request to the ministry for determining the scope and contents of the environmental impact assessment study of the project of the construction of the power line DV 2x400kV TS Bajina Basta-state border with Montenegro and state border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This is the final section of the construction of the Trans-Balkans Corridor through Serbia, a regional project of the construction of the system for the transfer of electrical energy at a voltage level of 400 kV, which will connect East and West Europe.
Previously, the first section, from Pancevo to the Romanian city of Resita, and the second section, from Kragujevac to Kraljevo, were finished, whereas,
for the construction of the third section, the double-capacity powerline (2x400kV) Bajina Basta-Obrenovac, EMS got the green light in August last year, but the tender for the works has not yet been opened.
After the third section, what remains to be done is to build a section from Bajina Basta to the Montenegrin border and the BiH border.
