For all intents and purposes, Kentkart will remain the company that charges for tickets in the Belgrade public transport system, although mayor Aleksandar Sapic has been announcing the termination of the agreement with this Turkish company.

To clarify, the PUE Naplata prevozne usluge Beograd has advertised the negotiation procedure for the exploitation and maintenance of the system of ticket charging and vehicle management in the public line transport of passengers in Belgrade.

Said company for fare collection, logistics and public transport management in Belgrade, the announcement says, “has the need for the carrying out of the public procurement of the exploitation and maintenance of the system of ticket charging and vehicle management in the public line transport of passengers in Belgrade, in a negotiation procedure, without the opening of a public invitation, with the business entity Kentkart Southeast Europe doo Beograd”.

As the reason for carrying out the negotiation procedure without opening a public invitation, it is pointed out that “only said business entity can provide the required service, because it has all the exclusive rights in the sense of the maintenance, development and upgrade of the hardware and software within the established System for ticket charging and vehicle management in the public line transport of passengers in Belgrade, as confirmed by the Statement on intellectual property on the software and the production rights on the hardware from January 20, 2023”.
