Low cost carrier Wizz Air will expand its operations from Belgrade with the introduction of five new routes and the stationing of a fourth Airbus A321 aircraft in the city.

The airline will introduce flights from the Serbian capital to Lisbon, Bergamo, Berlin, Copenhagen and Zakynthos. As a result, the budget carrier will be the sole operator between Serbia and Portugal, as reported by the EX-YU Aviation News portal.

The new additions to the network will be introduced from late July and early August 2023, with exception to Bergamo which will commence in September.

Services to Berlin and Copenhagen will run four times per week, Lisbon and Zakynthos twice per week, while Bergamo will operate five times per week.

Wizz Air will also increase frequencies on a number of routes it already maintains from Belgrade.
