As announced by the Tourism Organization of Indjija, which is also the investor in the project, by April next year, the promenade on the Danube in Stari Slankamen should be completed.

The studio Modelart Arhitekti from Novi Sad prepared the preliminary design of the promenade above the water, and Kaiserbold was in charge of the visualization.

The project of the pontoon promenade with a lookout is an expansion of the tourism-recreation capacities in the coastal zone in Stari Slankamen. The aim of the project is to enrich the spatial-ambient qualities of the space, through connecting the settlement with the Danube and using the natural potentials of the river, says the website of the studio.

The proposed solution is a linear structure that spreads from the Mika Alas Marina and the Special Hospital Dr Borivoje Gnjatic and is for the most part planned as a floating pontoon platform.

As they add, the platform is designed as a promenade that follows the coastline, with expansions for additional features: benches, canopies, exhibition space, space for various events, commercial features (counters for sellers etc.).

In addition to the floating part on the water surface, a part of the promenade is located on the coast, including the lookout, a raised platform which provides a view to Slankamen and the surroundings.
