Belgrade Visited by Nearly One Million Tourists in First Nine Months

In the first nine months of this year, 966,552 tourists visited Belgrade (+75%) and 2,625,237 overnight stays were realized in total in accommodation capacities in Belgrade (+50%), according to the latest data of the Secretariat for Administration – Statistics Sector.

Of the total number of visitors in Belgrade in the period from January to October, 807,113 are foreign guests, of whom there are nearly twice as many as in the same period last year, more precisely +91%.

According to the announcement by the Tourism Organization of Belgrade, the guests who visited the capital of Serbia on large river cruise ships in the 2022 season, and who didn’t stay at hotels overnight, of whom there were around 70 thousand, should be added to the total number of tourists.


Since the beginning of the year, most guests come from Russia, Turkey, Germany, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, India and Greece.

The number of tourists in October amounts to 127,172, of which 109,155 are foreign guests, which is an increase of 75% compared to October 2021.
